Checklist to install the SLIMTOOL kit on your PStwo (SCPH-7000X) Playstation 2 V12:
1x Flat screwdriver
1x PStwo game system SCPH-7000X V12 (Slim Line)
1x SLIMTOOL Kit purchased at superfamishop.com

Step 1: This Kit includes 3 tools specially designed for the PStwo so you can use the swap magic discs on your system, this means you can play backups/imports has you like without having to open your system and loose your system warranty.
SLIMTOOL kit can be installed and removed very easilly, please follow the steps below and you\ll be all set

Step 2 : Here you can see the 3 tools (side view), each tool have a purpose ...to be able to use swap magic discs on your pstwo, you need all 3 tools to be installed.
Tool A is blocking one sensor
Tool B is blocking the disc break
Tool C is fixing an other sensor that detects the cover opening
Now you know everything and are ready to proceed to the tools install |

| Step 3 : The following picture on the right shows where the 3 tools (A,B & C) will be instaled. You will first install Tool A, then Tool B, and finally Tool C |

Etape 5 : Here you can see when Slimtool Tool A is in position
If you have a problem setting tool A in it's position, it means you have one of the first released PStwo (this represent 2% of the PStwo) so do not panic, this is unluckely to happen to you but if it does keep cool you'll just have to cut the tool A to make it fit (please see last pict of this tutorial)

Step 6 : Setting up Slimtool Tool B, if you want to, you can slide the lense by touching the palstic part only...do not touch any electrical/metal part with your fingers. Slide it only if it bothers you where it is located.

Step 7 : Setting up Slimtool Tool B, you will need to move the disc brake (white thing on the picture) to make room for the tool B to be set up.
Use a piece of tape to keep the disc break in position, it is used here to show you it needs to be moved to leave room for the Tool B to be inserted

Etape 8 : Seeting up Slimtool Tool C
Just follow the picture, the match is used to give you directionnal view on how the tool must be inserted, it is actually easier to do it with your fingers (more feelings)
Once in postion is fit alone and will stay in position perfectly |

| Step 9 : SLIMTOOL Tool B is in position, note the bending if it can help you to make it fit and set ip up |

| Step 11: Use the picture on the right to understand the position and way to insert Tool C. Tool C must be inserted in the gap between the metal clip and the hinge. |

Step 14: Here you are all set, your PStwo (SCPH-7000X) Playstation 2 Slim line is equipped with the Slimtool Kit and ready to use the swap magic discs as you like to play your <b>backups>/b> and imports. If your PStwo is one of the first released, you will know it because tool A will not fiit perfectly, (only 2% of the PStwo have this)
if you do just cut 2mm of the Tool A like shown on the picture so you can set Tool A into its position
do not worry this has been noticed and is only concerning the first PStwo released (only 2% ) |
